My goal is always to ensure that you feel comfortable, supported, and fully relaxed throughout your treatment - so your body and mind leave feeling renewed.

Where will my massage session take place? 

As a mobile massage therapist, I bring the relaxation directly to you! 

​

Ideally, the treatment will take place in a comfortable, quiet room where you can fully unwind. You’ll lie on a professional massage table, designed to provide ultimate comfort throughout your session.

​

For ease of setup and the best experience, I request that the treatment room be on the ground floor (if possible), as I bring essential equipment with me.

​

I’m based in Galashiels and offer a mobile service within a 45-minute radius. Not sure if I cover your area? Just ask, and I’ll let you know!

What will I wear during the massage? 

You should undress to your comfort level, keeping your underwear on. I’ll leave the room while you get settled on the massage table and cover yourself with a clean towel or blanket.

​

Throughout the session, you will be professionally draped at all times - only the area I’m working on will be uncovered. Your comfort, modesty, and sense of safety are always my priority.

What parts of my body will be massaged? 

A typical full-body massage includes your back, shoulders, arms, legs, feet, hands, neck, and sometimes the scalp — depending on your preferences.

​

That said, every treatment is completely tailored to you. If you’d prefer to skip a certain area or focus more time on another (like your shoulders or lower back), that’s absolutely fine. We’ll chat about this during your pre-treatment consultation so you feel relaxed and fully in control.

 

Your comfort and boundaries are always respected.

What will the massage feel like?

Your massage will begin with slow, flowing strokes to help settle your nervous system and ease surface tension in the muscles. As your body softens and relaxes, I’ll gradually build up the pressure to focus on specific areas of tension, using techniques like deep tissue work or trigger point release - depending on what your body needs that day.

The treatment is always intuitive, rhythmic, and responsive, helping you feel safe, grounded, and deeply restored. You’re welcome to communicate throughout if you’d like more or less pressure - this is your time.

What should I do during the massage session?

Before we begin, you’re welcome to ask any questions about the treatment or techniques I’ll be using. Once the massage starts, your only job is to make yourself as comfortable as possible.

​

You can simply close your eyes, breathe deeply, and allow yourself to relax. I may gently guide you (for example, asking you to move your arm), but otherwise, you’re free to switch off and enjoy the moment.

​

If at any point you’d like more or less pressure, an extra blanket, or have a question - please speak up. Your comfort and care are at the centre of everything I do.

How will I feel after the massage session? 

Most people leave their massage feeling deeply relaxed, both in body and mind. You may notice a sense of lightness, warmth, or freedom from tension - especially in areas that have held stress for a long time.

​

After the session, it's completely normal to feel a little slowed down or sleepy at first. This is your nervous system shifting into a calm, restorative state. Many clients report feeling more energised, clearer-headed, and emotionally balanced in the hours or days that follow.

 

Every body responds differently - but the goal is always to leave you feeling more connected, supported, and in tune with yourself.

What are the benefits of massage? 

Massage offers more than just a moment of relaxation - it’s a powerful way to support both your body and nervous system.

Are there any medical conditions that would make massage or bodywork inadvisable? 

Yes - while massage is generally safe and supportive, there are some medical conditions that may require caution or prior approval from your healthcare provider.

​

Before your first session, you’ll be asked to complete a consultation form to share details of your health history, medications, or any ongoing conditions. It’s important to be open and honest so I can tailor the treatment safely to your needs.

 

If you’re under a doctor’s care, I may request a written recommendation or ask that you check with your GP before we proceed — especially in the case of recent surgeries, injuries, pregnancy, cardiovascular conditions, or serious illness.
